OneWorld, a learning center" has the objective of promoting an ethical and just development of Nepalese AGRI-culture. Our rural development work is with deprived small farmers by promoting organic agriculture practiced along the biodynamic philosophy. We are dedicated to empower vulnerable Nepalese farmers professionally and the protection of ecosystems of Nepal.
OneWorld-alc was founded in 1997 and ever since has been providing an applicable model for rural development. “Preservation of dignity” during all development stages is our core principal. We are proud to be an active part of the spirit of the LOHAS (Lifestyles of Health and Sustainability) movement and practice “responsible business”.
Social responsibility, sustainability, and environmental protection are the key points of this approach.
In the "Land of the Medicine Buddha" the first Demeter-certified farm in Nepal we develop cropping models and quality products. Results are handed over to cooperatives of small farmers. This includes implementing sustainable wild collection in large areas of forests in collective management. We organize bio-dynamic trainings for targeted cooperatives and manage the internationally recognized certifications and a sustainable marketing of their products, so that the farmers can fully concentrate on the protection of the Himalayan ecology.
OneWorld products are branded as Nepali Gardens Products and have mostly been granted the worldwide highly respected Demeter Trademark, ensuring highest product quality.
We invite you to take a journey through our beautiful farm and projects to see the vision transformed into reality and experience OneWorldalc transparency alive.

Now, it really became true. Since February 2012 the Sustainable Integrated Farming Systems (SIFS) project is under way to support the endangered Chepang tribe in Chitwan. Financed by German Ministry of Economic Cooperation (BMZ) and German INGO ‘Deutsche Welthungerhilfe e.V.” (WHH) 600 farming families are supported over 3 years program duration. OneWorldalc is marketing partner in the project, while the local non-profit sister organization ”Himalayan Bio-Dynamic Developments Trust” is implementing partner. The first 115ha of project area are under Demeter conversion and soon will be certified for the first time.
Now a great deal activities have been started within the 500ha project area and reforestation has vehemently begun by handing out trees etc to the farmers.
Now the greatest need is for the participation of the western organic market. The whole sellers and retailers as well as the consuming buyers can now decide on the survival of the Chepang tribe by buying the Nepali Gardens products. Especially the new and very attractive designs of the Nepali Gardens Ayurvedic Herbal Teas can play a mayor role.
Some huge steps forward have been done, many still remain.
